naturalistic teaching

If you have not heard about that term, you can learn more about it in this blog.

Naturalistic teaching is a method of teaching and intervention that occurs in the natural environment of the child while the provider creates different learning opportunities for them within their day-to-day activities and experiences. It involves the exploration and expansion of the child’s main current interests and preferences while including the development of different target skills within those themes and activities. Naturalistic teaching is characterized by the fact that the provider will take advantage of moment-to-moment experiences that happen during the same session to expand and promote the highest level of learning depending on what is happening and where the flow of the session is moving to. This methodology will promote high levels of motivation, low levels of frustration, and magnificent levels of learning and development.
